Eva Joly is a New York based artist, gardener, and licensed master social worker. Her practice focuses on intersections between memory, ecology, and craft. Her social work practice centers gardening and land-based interventions and as therapeutic modality. More information can be found at Perma Gardens.
Eva concentrated in Fiber and Material Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2005-2008 and received a BDes(Hons) 1st Class from the Glasgow School of Art in Textiles in 2010. She received a MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2017.
Eva was born in Boston, MA. She was raised in the Piano Factory, a now defunct live-work community for low-income artists and their families.
